25TH October 2016 Our third visit to Leopard-lodge and it is as lovely as ever.
Our river bank “entertainment” did not disappoint. Last year we watched a leopard meander down for a couple of hours …..This year a breeding herd of 30 elephants! Also bush pigs on the Chilau stream – a first for us and we’ve been coming to North KNP for nearly 30 years.
So wonderful to see all the elephant many, which must be a special site anywhere?
Elizabeth was as welcoming and hospitable as ever and, like the previous guests, we will be on diet when we get back to. Reuben and David happily indulged us in our bird watching habit with much discussion & turning of pages – over 120 different birds now seen in KNP in last 2 weeks.
Great catering as always from Titus. Good to meet Luca, Mathew and Albert and great to see our old friend Travis.
We had such huge admiration for Elizabeth and her team. What they achieve out here is just remarkable. And such kind and generous people.!

18 -22nd April 2016: Such a pleasure to be here
Thank you Elize and team for the warm friendly welcome to Leopard-lodge. We will remember the stay under the full moon, the fire, braais and dinner at the lapa. Not forgetting “Max” the hippo grazing a short distance away.
Thank you Reuben for being an excellent fishing guide and the good company with your giggling infectious laugh. Your skills putting worms on the hook are commendable
We spotted the lions on our last night’s stay by following the spoor in the morning.
To all the guides and staff, Jo, David and Reuben thank you for wonderful stay.
May God Bless you all.

September 2015: Once again, we have a truly lovely stay at Leopard Lodge.
It has not changed since we were there two years ago: beautiful setting, fantastic rooms and catering, excellent staff and the warmest of welcomes from Elize who could not have looked after us better.
We had the most superb leopard sighting (big male strolling slowly down the opposite bank for about an hour, completely undisturbed), saw over 80 species of birds as well as lion, hartebeeste, zebra, hyena, sable and a host of other things.
As I said last time, Northern Kafue is the real old Africa.
07 June 2015: The game drives were awesome.
Loved the Paste and the food.
If possible we’ll come back again!
The staff is great here and we loved it
Thank you Elize.

May 2015: What an amazing lodge you have.
My time there was very much appreciated. There was nothing but excellence at your lodge. The food, service, staff etc. were top draw. The real differentiator is Elize, what an amazing lady. She is the heart and lungs of the lodge, and makes the difference in every way. I will have no problem recommending Leopard Lodge to my colleagues and friends. I will certainly be back later in the year.
A top venue and a great offering. Grant Litster, Lusaka, Zambia

July 2014 Everything was great!
Everything was really great, food/Dinner, drives, accommodation & of course your nice camp. Leopard-lodge is a lovely place with lovely people.
The best was the lion just relaxing directly in front of us and to be almost alone in the wilderness.
Thank you so much for this nice stay! Hope to come back one day.

November 2013: Leopard lodge is one of these magic places on the planet.
We enjoyed every bit of our short stay. The game drives, the bush walk, the trip on the boat. Above all – the fantastic hospitality of the hostess and the entire team.
Well: Leopard-lodge stays on our list and we hope to be able to visit again.

October 2013: What a delightful and welcoming place.
This is true African hospitality at its best in the bush. Thank you to Ruben and David who worked hard to find us lion, leopard, hartebeest and eland; Ruben for catching the big barbell; to Titus and Respect for the wonderful meals they turned out; to honest for taking us fishing; to all the other staff who kept our rooms clean, water hot and looked out for the legendary Leopard Lodge lions every night.
Thank you to Elizabeth for being so welcoming and ensuring this “show” runs like clockwork. We will be back. Liz and Peter Batchelor, United Kingdom
September 2013 Leopard Lodge indeed deserves an en-core!
What an amazing experience – sitting by the deck – suddenly spotting a lioness slinking off in the long grass towards some puku or is it Impala
- Is this a hunt unravelling before you – the excitement builds – she disappears in the long grass so perfectly camouflaged
- you watched the seemingly unaware antelope – resting under the tree – half an hour but nothing happens – you begin to wonder – had she a full belly or did she never just see them.
Then came the night – it’s as if the earlier sighting was an intro – as the night is filled with roaring lions within the camp – we learnt the next morning, they had made 2 kills just behind the dinning-room !
The night drive was such an experience – a cold shiver down your spine – with each turn you make as you drive along – no….. creation on the prowl – both great and small ! We are still looking for the elusive leopard –though we didn’t see one, we feel, we will still come again.
The staff simply made us feel at home and went out of their way to help us in our quest to see as much wildlife as we could!
Elize and team we say thank you! Luz & Bryan Chileshe Ndola, Zambia
September 2013: We enjoyed every minute.
This thanks to Elize and her staff. The nice rooms with panoramic view are fabulous!
After visiting about 25 lodges the last 10 years, we surely think Leopard-Lodge is one of the cleanest and well maintained lodges. The highlight of our stay was seeing 3 Cheetahs together – fishing – boat cruise and of course the surprise dinner !
We certainly will return some day. Conny and Wim Verheӱden.
August 2013: If you have just half the fun we had you are going to have a great time
Well what can I say. We have had a holiday of a life time and I think a little bit of us will always be here. We have had lions in the camp 3 out of 4 nights.
We have seen lions chase leopards in a tree. We were charged by a elephant on arrival. It has been truley amazing.
Elize, thanks for the wonderful hospitality from you and the team, all the best for the future.
Until next time Chris, Debbie. Tristan and Joshua. Wales U.K.
June 2013 You do have a very special place here.
Where to start!! What an amazing start to our ”adventure”. You do have a very special place here. The atmosphere is so relaxing and everybody is so nice. Lying in bed each night listening to the roaring lions, the hippos splashing and grunting and a leopard “barking”.
We were so lucky on our own safari drives. Female (4) lions lying under a tree after killing and eating a Waterbuck.
The amount of vultures hanging around was a spectacle. Night safari drive we saw a leopard, white tailed mongoose, Civets! To top it all off a male lion on our last safari drive. He was a sight to see. A lion and warthogs in camp.
Elize you do such a great job and are so welcoming and lovely! Can’t wait to come back.
Tim, Gayle and Asha Wride.
October 2012 What a place!
We would like to thank you for our stay in the Leopard Lodge! We had a terrific stay and where extremely welcomed by your staff. It gave us the opportunity to introduce this beautiful continent to our kids and we already have 1 son who wants to be a ranger.
All staff where extremely friendly and talented whereby the rangers expressed real pleasure in their work. I was glad to arrange the transportation with you since Peter, our driver, drove extremely comfortable and safe.
Luck was on our side with the safari ride’s since we saw Lions on the rides but also when we were fishing when they were walking near the riverside and managed to do a attempt to kill ( they just missed…) at a antelope.
Definitely a place to come back whenever we have a change. Victor van Gool, Netherlands
October 2012 It was a treat to spend a few days there with our three girls
My highlight was surely when I stayed in the afternoon in the last chalet that was ours seen from the right of the main building from the parking lot when an elefant was rustling the moskito net on the terrace with his trunk, smelling me sitting in there and reading, for quite some while, and finally I understood why, a mother with 2 smaller kids then walked by closely and went to have a bath. Finally, also the big male let go and trotted maybe a foot from the veranda railing across the front yard of the chalet to the lagoon..
Another highlight was the African dance / theatre show, unfortunately, none our pictures are focused…
September 2012 My first time in Africa, it was wonderful.
The nature, quietness, wild animals and the hospitality of this lodge made it a very special and great experience. I hope to come back some time and stay a bit longer, many thanks. Maurice, Holland.
August 2012 Thank you for a lovely stay AGAIN !
As always have had a great, relaxing time. Thank you to all you staff who’s knowledge is outstanding. Last nights game drive is one of the best we have ever done. Seeing the mother Leopard & her son together was a very lucky sight indeed.
See you next time.Tim, Gayle, Harry & Asha Wride.
